Search Crew 2.0.0 is now officially available!

We're actually a day early, but we could not wait any longer to show you what we've done. Introducing, Search Crew 2! Search Crew 2 has been in development for over three months and has totally changed what the definition of Search Crew is. Instead of trying to create a competitor to Google or Bing, this time we're trying to appeal to Frutiger Aero and Skeuomorphism enthusiasts. If you're like us, you'll know how much better websites looked in 2010!
But all that aside, let's talk about the new features in Search Crew 2. The first and largest one of them all is definitely Bespoke Accents. We haven't really seen many search engines implement themes into their user interfaces. So, we wrote some simple JavaScript, and made Frutiger Aero style header-bar themes. There are two other categories at launch as well. If you're an Apple enthusiast, you may appreciate the inclusion of nine themes based on iPod Touch 5 colors, and some of the other models Apple released in that time period. If you like cheese, then you can rock a cheese theme from Cheesetopia! We've picked nine different cheese -based themes to enhance the taste of our search engine (pun intended).
The second new feature can be found on our homepage. If you're feeling curious, then just take a look at our weekly Explore Prompt. It may have to do with current events, holidays, or just fun facts. This also affects the background of the search engine homepage. It will reflect the weekly prompt with an image that suits the topic of the prompt. The reason that this was implemented was because we saw that other search engines had been doing similar things for years. Bing even still does this type of a thing today. Not to mention Google Doodles.
There are a couple of other minor changes to Search Crew, but nothing worth going into depth about. These include code fixes and revisions and element relocations and restyling throughout the search engine.
Hopefully, anyone and everyone who decides to use Search Crew will appreciate these improvements. I know we've been using Search Crew ever since day one. We currently have a Firefox and Microsoft Edge Extension. But sadly, we don't think it will be possible for us to publish a Chrome Extension. And yes, we've had a mobile app for Android devices on the Google Play Store since late March or early April of 2023. You can learn more at https://searchcrew.github.io/. Thank you to all who helped out during the development process on JavaScripters and Stack Overflow.
